Bison was founded by The Terry and Kim Pegula Family Office known as East Asset Management in conjunction with operating partner Teton Capital Partners founded by Brad Ball and his team of executives.
As Terry Pegula rose from petroleum engineer to Billionaire Oil and Gas Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, and Professional Sports Team Owner the family was amazed to see all the products, services, and capabilities that became available to them. Bison seeks to make these family office tools available to Bison clients.

Chris is the CEO and Founder behind Bison Wealth Sarasota, a platform he built to help independent advisors achieve and accelerate their dreams without sacrificing life-work harmony.
After spending 18 years at Global Financial Private Capital as Managing Director, where he helped recruit, train and mentor over 500 independent fiduciary advisors. During his time there, the company grew from $200 million to over $5 billion by 2016, when it was sold to a private equity firm.
As he continued on his consulting and mentorship path, he noticed a gap in the industry – there wasn’t a great place for successful financial advisors to grow and shape their futures independently. It was then that he had an ah-ha moment – and decided to embark on his Bison Wealth Sarasota path.
With Bison Wealth Sarasota, Chris has created a place for promising independent advisors to work on their own terms, operating as a boutique practice in their community, keeping their existing clients, and expanding their business. With Bison Wealth Sarasota, they can offer the families they currently serve the chance to join a trusted cooperative platform while still getting the personal attention and care they have always provided.
Bison Wealth Sarasota gives independent advisors a true place to call home – both a successful business and a supportive family. Chris has taken his lifelong love of giving back to the Bison Wealth Sarasota team. They actively work to support Homes for Our Troops, Donte’s Den, InStride, Easter Seals, Child Protection Center, Samaritan Counseling, Big Dog Ranch Rescue, Animal Haven, and the Blue Alert Foundation.
